Hivekit was founded by a team around Wolfram Hempel, who has spent two decades building the real-time and cloud infrastructure other companies rely on. Before Hivekit he ran deepstream, a leading cloud data company, funded and sold companies in real-time data and cloud architecture, working across sectors as varied as investment banking, multiplayer gaming, and industrial automation.

His open-source contributions — the real-time data server Deepstream and the web framework GoldenLayout — are widely recognized and used by thousands of engineering teams worldwide.

He works alongside a senior team of specialist engineers and a global partner network that delivers Hivekit on site. The result is rare in enterprise software: when you call, you reach the people who actually build the platform.
